Venice Branch of AAUW is the largest in Florida and members have many ways to be involved:

• Monthly meetings with speakers, December Holiday Party and Spring Honors Luncheon.

• Study Interest Groups (SIG’s) offer intellectual, social and fun activities every month throughout the year. Here are just a few: Outdoor Adventures, Book Club, Evening Out, Movie Group, Exploring with Your Camera, Armchair Travelers, 3 bridge groups and many more.

• Volunteer opportunities: February Home Tour staffing which raises scholarship funds, 5th Grade Girls STEM Olympics, Tech Trek summer camp for girls throughout Florida, hosting dinners for the Legal Advocacy Fund to advance equity for women and girls nationally, Academic Olympics and more.

Membership is open to anyone holding an associate or equivalent (RN), baccalaureate or higher degree from a regionally accredited college or university.

Student Affiliation is open to anyone who does not already hold an undergraduate degree and is enrolled in a two-or four-year regionally accredited educational institution. Students enrolled at College/University Partner Member institutions receive a free e-Student affiliation.
